Went down to the Rivoli last night to catch the launch of the new Wailin' Jennys CD, Firecracker. They are so wonderful - such great vocal chemistry. Obviously Bruce Cockburn feels the same - he was there and only slightly less nervous and gushy than me! Actually, I believe he worked up the nerve to ask them to accompany him on some stuff this past summer. I know they were nervous about it but I'm sure it was brilliant.
Had a great talk with Bruce, actually, about doing something with him and the guitar on Haida-Gwaii in the future and he seemed up for it. That goes in the ever-growing "to-do" pile.
Also had a lovely chat with Annabelle Chvostek's mum, who was lovely herself.
